The Crofton Blue Jays play Irene at home on Thursday, June 7th at 7:30 pm,
and they play Lesterville at Lesterville on June 10th.

Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area at the Weigand Marina is celebrating
National Marina Day this Saturday, June 9th from 10am to 2pm. Lots of
different activities including Kayaking, Fishing Clinic, Boat Tours, Sand
Castle Building Contest, AIS Education, Courtesy Boat Safety, Introduction
to Archery, Sidewalk Chalk Art, The Triumphant Return of the White Pirogue
II, Fish Cleaning Demonstration, Wetland Habitats, Yankton Search and Rescue
Dive Demonstration, Keep it Clean, and a Paint Party Scheduled. Join them
for a Fish Fry from 6pm to 7pm, Adults $9, Kids ages 3-12 $5, and Kids 2 and
under are free. Hayrack rides around the park 6pm to 8pm. Activities for all

Crofton Senior Center News:
May Board Meeting is May 12th at 8:30 am and open to the public.
The Caregivers Support Group meets the 13th at 1:30 and all caregivers are
welcome at any age.
The Paper Shredder truck will be here on the 19th at 10:45 am and is free to
those 60 years of age or older.
May’s birthday and bingo party is the 20th.
Meal tickets are available for your special man for a Father’s Day gift.

Crofton’s annual baseball and fireworks show will be held on Tuesday, July
3rd. The Crofton Bluejays play Wynot at 7:30pm, and the fireworks will
follow the game.

The 53rd Annual Crofton High School Alumni Banquet, hosted by the Class of
1973, will be held on Saturday, July 7th at St. Rose Hall. 5pm Social Time
and 7pm Dinner and Program. Check the Crofton Alumni Association Facebook
page for updates. 5 year anniversary classes will be honored and have
reserved seating. Please complete and return the annual alumni dues and
reservation to the banquet as soon as possible.

The Conrad Guenther Family Reunion 2018 will be hald on Sunday, June 10th at
the Cottonwood North Picnic Shelter below Gavin’s Point Dam at 12:30pm. Pot
luck dinner. Table service and drinks will be provided. For more

Crofton’s Dam Race is a new race in Northeast Nebraska along the picturesque
Lewis & Clark Lake. Competitors 14 years of age and older will kayak 1 mile
on the lake, run a 5K through the Weigand campground and bike 12 miles into
downtown Crofton for a Bar-B-Q and celebration. Teams or individual
participants are welcome. You’ll want to come back year after year to the
beautiful Nebraska State Park near Crofton. Visit AllSportsCentral.com for
details and to register. This event is being hosted by the City of Crofton
in conjunction with the Weigand Marina and Nebraska Game & Parks.

Crofton Youth Program’s Open Gym and Summer Day Program are underway. The day program is from 10:30am to noon every Tuesday and Thursday and Open Gym is from 4:30 to 6:30 every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Both events are held at the Crofton City Auditorium. Call 402-388-4766 for questions.

Main Street Treasures is a non-profit thrift store operated by volunteers. The store sells clothing, housewares, small furniture, small appliances, lawn & garden items, toys, baby stuff, hunting accessories, and other items. Proceeds benefit the Crofton area. Main Street Treasures is open Wednesdays 10am to 8pm, Thursdays and Fridays, 10am to 6pm, Saturdays 10am to 2pm, and the first Sunday of the month 10am to 1pm.
