Good luck to our Crofton High School State Track participants. We are proud of you!

Memorial Day Cemetery Services, Monday, May 25th: Crofton City 8:30am, Beaver Creek 8:45am, Aten 9:05am, Frankfort 9:25am, Beaver View 9:45am, St. Rose 10:05am, and St. Joseph 10:30am.

Memorial Day Service, Monday, May 25th, 11am at the City Auditorium. Join the American Legion, Legion Auxiliary, and Sons for a service honoring and remembering our service members.

Join the Crofton Senior Center for a Memorial Weekend picnic – serving beanies and weinies with chips and a drink for a suggested donation on Saturday, May 23rd, from 11am to 1pm, in front of the senior center.

A rosary for favorable weather will be prayed every Monday at Beaver Creek Cemetery at 7:30pm.

A rosary for favorable weather will be prayed every Thursday at the Menominee Shelter at 8:00pm.

Crofton Alumni letters have been mailed out, so please be on the lookout for them. Alumni dues are just $10. This year’s banquet will be held on Saturday, July 4th, at St. Rose Hall. 5 year anniversary classes will be honored. Please return your RSVPs by June 1st.

The Senior Center will be closed on Monday, May 25th, for Memorial Day.

Watch for details on the upcoming annual Walk in the Park Plant Sale Fundraiser to be held on Saturday, June 13th, at the South City Park shelter house. Thank you to Diane’s Greenhouse for sharing her beautiful flowers, trees, buses, plants, and baskets.

Meals at the Senior Citizens Center are served Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at noon and Thursday at 5:30pm. Please call the senior center at 402-388-2365 at least 2 hours in advance to be signed up for a meal. Dine in, to-go, and delivery meals are available. Check out the weekly menu in the Crofton Journal or stop at the Senior Center for the monthly menu. The senior center does not offer hot meals on Fridays, but instead offers $4 Frozen Fridays/Cook’s Choice take-out meals. The Center will remain open on Fridays for other regularly scheduled activities. Exercise classes are held on Wednesdays at 3:30pm and Fridays at 10:30am. Play Bingo on Fridays and Mondays at 1pm.

The Crofton Community Sign would love to announce your special messages such as birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, thank you, and congratulatory messages. Please contact Erin Dennis at 605-760-4470 to get information on how to get messages for your loved ones on the community sign. Personal messages are $5/day plus tax. This money goes to Main Street Treasures to pay for electricity and maintenance at the sign.

Crofton Community Club meetings are held on the third Monday of the month at 6:30pm. Join us! Meetings are held at various locations throughout the community.

Main Street Treasures is a non-profit thrift store operated by volunteers. The store sells clothing, housewares, small furniture, small appliances, lawn & garden items, toys, baby stuff, hunting accessories, and other items. Proceeds benefit the Crofton area. The store is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 10am to 6pm, and Saturdays 10am to 3pm.
